David has been in the mechanical insulation business since 1985 and formed KIM Industries in 2008. He saw the opportunity to go out on his own to form a MBE, Minority Owned Business Enterprise, workspace and take advantage of the opportunities/goals that NYS and CT were implementing in more and more jobs. David is a supporter of local organizations, the Police, the Firehouse and his local SPCA, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
KIM Industries is a member of ESICA, Eastern States Insulation Contractors Association and the FCIA, Firestop Contractors International Association. KIM Industries is also DBE, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Certified in CT & NY.
KIM Industries is also DAS, Department of Administrative Services, Certified in CT. The DAS Contractor Prequalification Program requires all contractors to prequalify before they can bid on a construction project estimated to cost more than $500,000. Eligibility To obtain Prequalification, there are five categories on the application to which your company will be evaluated:
